Bradley Cooper Is PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive!

Bradley Cooper Is PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive! | Bradley Cooper

Sure, he’s easy on the eyes, but there’s more to 2011’s Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper than dazzling baby blues and a killer smile.

Ladies, take note: this Georgetown grad can whip up dinner, take you for a spin on his motorcycle and whisper sweet nothings in French (he’s fluent!). Just don’t try convincing himwhat a catch he is.

“I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title],” says the Hangover actor, 36. “I think I’m a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying.”

Another reason to love him? Cooper, whose father Charles passed away in January, is especially close with his mom, Gloria. When he learned he’d been crowned Sexiest Man Alive, the “first thing I thought,” he says, “was, ‘My mother is going to be so happy.’ ”

So what’s the truth about his dating status?

Cooper, who was with Renée Zellweger for two years until their split in March and has been spotted out with Jennifer Lopez in recent months, says he’s a “single 36-year-old male.”

“If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business,” he says, “you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.”

See who else made it to the list:

BUSY: Evans spent three months in Hong Kong shooting “Push,” right after he worked on “Teardrop Diamond.”

The science-fiction star would rather stay at home than revel in the Hollywood scene.

Spending three months in Hong Kong shooting the frenetic science-fiction thriller “Push” was more difficult than Chris Evans expected.

There’s the fact that he doesn’t speak the language or even particularly like Chinese food. Then, as the film’s lead, he worked almost every day while his costars, including 14-year-old Dakota Fanning, were free to sample the electric city vibe and travel the country’s scenic landscapes. But the worst of it was that he was separated from his beloved American bulldog, East, who normally hangs around on-set with Evans as he works.

“Look at that guy!” he said, whipping out his BlackBerry at Studio City’s Daily Grill and thumbing through photo after photo of the white hound like a proud new father. “He’s the greatest thing in the world!”

Evans’ bright green eyes light up any time he can talk about his pal East and the Celtics. Even though he’s spent the last 10 years warming up to young Hollywood, he’s still the kind of guy who tools around town wearing a black baseball cap and hoodie and who would prefer watching a Celtics game at home than hanging with Hollywood hipsters.

Growing up in a Boston suburb, he didn’t spend his time reading comic books or consuming science-fiction novels and films, so who would have guessed he’d build such a formidable résumé in the very genre that failed to capture his imagination as a child?

And yet, a decade after moving to Los Angeles, the gregarious 27-year-old — best known for burning up the screen as Johnny Storm in 20th Century Fox’s “Fantastic Four” franchise — is starring in yet another sci-fi thriller, this time as the telekinetic Nick Gant, a “mover,” in the argot of the film, who grudgingly joins a rogue group of expat psychic warriors united in bringing down a shadowy military agency attempting to harvest their abilities for supernatural warfare.

In “Push,” which opened in theaters Friday, Evans’ character can move things with his mind. It was a new skill to master for the reluctant action hero, who has burst into flames as the Human Torch and raced to save the planet in Danny Boyle’s underrated 2007 space odyssey, “Sunshine.”

Working with Boyle, whose unexpected hit “Slumdog Millionaire” propelled the Irish director to the top of Hollywood’s most-wanted list, made boarding a soundstage spaceship seem less ridiculous to the would-be thespian (Evans studied theater in high school and moved to New York in search of the stage right after graduation). “Whether he’s making a movie or wants to handle my finances, I’d be like, ‘All right, I trust him,’ ” the actor said of Boyle.

When Evans learned that Fanning had signed on to costar in “Push” as a clairvoyant runaway, he brushed off all sci-fi fatigue and got to work. “It’s humbling to meet someone who was born in the ’90s — the ’90s! — who has a more sophisticated vocabulary than you do,” he marveled. “She’s like 34. I want to see her ID.”

But he still cringes over his time in Hong Kong in the fall. He missed his dog and had to spend his downtime in a tiny wagon-sized Chinese trailer rather than the standard Hollywood accommodations.

And just before the “Push” shoot, he’d spent three months in Louisiana filming Tennessee Williams’ “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond,” in which he plays Jimmy, a down-and-out urchin who captures the heart of reclusive debutante Fisher Willow ( Bryce Dallas Howard from ” Spider-Man 3″). Though he has always admired the Southern playwright, spending so much time away from home on back-to-back projects really took it out of him.

“Sometimes you would be sitting in those little buses losing your mind,” he said. “It felt like work.” Then he realized that even with the inconveniences, he still has it pretty good. “I’m splitting hairs. I’m still making movies.”

3 Reasons Why I Keep Watching Fringe

Mark Valley, Joshua Jackson and Scott Evans in Fringe

Back in high school, I would die over “X-Files”, not because of Fox Mulder but mainly because I wanted to be Dana Scully. I even excel (kinda) at bio just so that I can be more Scully-like. True story. “Fringe” however, failed to capture my attention as much as “X-Files” but I’m going to continue watching it anyway, because of these reasons along with few shirtless caps, of course. That cuckoo doctor isn’t one of them, surprisingly. He needs to get his shit together because his crazy tricks are getting tired and unfunny.

1. John Scott

Although his character is “dead” (notice the double quotes), Mark Valley is the hottest thing in “Fringe”, no doubt about that and I’m glad he has recurring roles in every episode. A bit run of the mill but I’ll make the best out of it. These shirtlessness are from the first episode but I’m sure that one-expression chick Olivia will “connect” with him during their lovemaking or something.

2. Pacey

Joshua Jackson will always be Pacey to me, no matter how much scruff he has. He got shirtless in few episodes but nothing too alarming. At least Josh has better career decisions than James Van Der Beek right? Here are some shirtless caps, although he looks like death in the first one.

3. Hot Extras

Specifically this dude. He’s in the sixth episode, “The Cure” in the scene where everyone’s head exploded like eggs in a microwave and although he has like 10 seconds of screen time, we get to see the fuzz under that shirt. I believe his name is Scott Evans, and this is the only time his character has a name. He needs to fire his agent and uhm, call me.

Scott Is Chris Evans’ Brother and I Stand A Chance

Scott Evans

I’ve been meaning to blab something about Scott Evans, Chris Evans’ slightly chunky, real looking brother for a while. Just look at him! My heart melts every single time. I’ve posted this little known hottie a few months back as the ‘hot extra’ on “Fringe” and thanks to you wonderful commenters, we now know that he’s gay and all kinds of hot. As for the shirtlessness, I’m 100% sure Scott has some decent forestation in there, as proved by hisoh so famous brother (yes, that’s four freakin’ pages of furry goodness — hope you can handle it). Scott Evans and Chris Evans. In a room. Um okay, I’ll see you later because some serious imagining need to be done!

Okay fine. Here you go. You’re welcome. p.s: I just realized Jason Statham was the non-shirtless baddie in this movie. LOL

Chris Evans

Oh, you know how we wondering yesterday what Chris Evans’s gay brother looks like? Wonder no more…

Scott Evans off-of gay.

He’s called Scott. That’s all we know. Oh except for the fact that he’s gay, an inch taller than Chris and four shades tanner. Or more tan. Or more tanned. Or tannederer.

Oh but let’s get down to the nitty slash gritty… how much on a scale of 1-10 would you bum Scott off-of Chris Evans? Over Lady Jump witchu (how Janet Jackson!), where you’ll also handily find another shot of Scott, to help with your decision…

Chris Evans’ gay brother found!

It’s become this week’s gay equivalent of the Holy Grail: The search for actor Chris Evans’ gay brother. Ever since the February issue of The Advocate hit mailboxes on Monday, folks have been clamoring for a look at Scott Evans, whose incredibly hot brother Chris (of Fantastic Four fame) touted—in oft-quoted web bite—as potentially hotter than the Human Torch himself.

Well, lads, the search is over. Sort of.
